Our History

The Parish of the Good Shepherd was established in 1923. The current church was built in 1924 and dedicated on
February 1, 1925. Good Shepherd Catholic School (formerly Beverly Hills Catholic School) on South Linden Drive was opened in September of 1930.

From its humble beginnings in a cozy neighborhood apartment to its current status as a venerable community landmark, the Church of the Good Shepherd has been a fixture in Beverly Hills for 80 years. Dating back to its early ties with the Catholic Motion Picture Guild, it has also served as the parish for many Hollywood stars over the years.

The Good Shepherd Catholic School at 148 South Linden Drive, Beverly Hills was opened in September of 1930.
